Background: Situated on the main street in Markethill at what is known as Bingham House SAVER/NAVER was established in the year 2000 to bring relief to victims of the troubles in the South Armagh, mid Ulster area, who are suffering from hardship or distress.

Aims and Objectives: We believe that we should help our members and the wider community in their real areas of need and for this reason are in the process of implementing a series of Community Awareness meetings in Markethill. These meetings will be a forum for discussion on very important matters to the community such as Consumer Rights, Further Education, Health Awareness, a Job and Education Fair etc.. By raising the educational level of the area we hope to raise the level of employability and ensure a brighter tomorrow for our community. Our aim is also, of course, to offer support and we uphold a policy of open door with a cup of tea always ready to be made if anyone drops by the office.

Initiatives to date: The building of a Memorial Garden at the back of our Office Building. This Memorial will be accessible to all through the front or the back of the Bingham House and we hope to offer there a place of peace and reflection. I.T. classes such as ECDL, Computer for the Terrified, SAGE, Text and word processing etc.., Art classes, Craft and sewing classes, Floral Art classes, Engraving, First Aid, Calligraphy, Men’s breakfast, Health Programme, Children’s club, Youth Group
