Background: In January 2000, Derrynoose opened
their new community centre, which has been very successful. They
have now opened up a new IT suite, which already has a waiting
list.
Aims and Objectives: the group was set up to
improve the quality of life for all members of the rural community
in relation to social education and training needs.
Initiatives to date: to date they have had lots
of social events, started up a youth group, a pre school playgroup,
badminton club, indoor bowls, flute band, Ceili classes, and computer
classes.
